Information You Submit
Search terms
A name, place, or other text entered into a search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Latah County Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own system. The provider's privacy policy controls what it receives and retains.
Messages and requests
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the information in that message is kept long enough to review and respond. It is not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or another valid legal process.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine web-server, analytics, and security systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:
- IP address or an abbreviated network identifier;
- browser type and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and approximate time spent;
- the referring page, when a browser supplies one; and
- timestamps for visits and requests.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages, preserve a setting, support a search tool, or report site performance. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Blocking them may change how some features behave.
How the Information Is Used
The information described above may be used to:
- keep the pages available and improve load speed;
- send search requests to the selected partner service;
- learn which topics and pages are useful;
- find, prevent, and repair technical faults or misuse; and
- show advertising that may relate to a visitor's interests.
Outside Websites and Providers
These pages link to sheriff and detention resources, booking and court portals, corrections locators, news outlets, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that destination's privacy policy and data practices apply. Latah County Busted Mugshots does not control an outside office's content, security, uptime, or handling of a submitted request.
Some advertising providers may observe activity across different websites to tailor ads on their own systems. That tracking is performed by the provider, not by a county government office.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by the operator of this reference. Depending on how the pages are used, information may be available to:
- the search partner that processes text entered into a search widget;
- analytics and performance services;
- advertising networks and their service providers; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order or other lawful demand requires disclosure.
Security Limits
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for an internet-connected service. No online system is completely secure, however. This policy does not promise that data will never be lost, intercepted, misused, or exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The pages are intended for adults. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal data, a parent or guardian may use the contact route to request review and deletion of that information.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and practical limits, a person may ask to:
- receive a copy of personal data held by the operator;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete information that the operator is able to remove; or
- opt out of certain uses or processing.
A request should identify the information and the action sought. Search partners, analytics companies, advertisers, and government offices may have separate systems and must be contacted under their own policies.
Policy Changes
This policy may be revised as the pages, search partners, or data practices change. The revised text takes effect when posted here, with a new effective date when appropriate. Continued use after a revision means the updated policy applies.
